Anyone considering computer monitoring software wants to know three things:
  1. Is it reliable?
  2. Is it undetectable?
  3. Is it capable of recording everything I need recorded?
These things can be easily boiled down even further to just one:

What can I expect from WebWatcher?

For starters, you can expect WebWatcher to work and to work well.

You can expect it to run invisibly and to reliably record what's happening on the computer you're monitoring.

If you choose to enable website blocking, the blocking is very flexible offering different ways for you to accomplish the goal of restricting certain websites from being visited.

You can also expect to finally understand completely what's happening on the computer you're monitoring.

Just between the keylogging software, website monitoring, and screenshots features alone, there's little that can go unnoticed.

How to Install:
WebWatcher Computer Monitoring Software

WebWatcher Installation is straightforward, with only one minor difference to pretty much every other program. (That's good.)

Most programs are downloaded, saved, and run from your computer.

With WebWatcher, though, we recommend, as WebWatcher's manufacturers do, that you opt to 'Run' the installation program. (More on this in a second.)

You can do this immediately after purchasing it or later on if that's more convenient for you.

Regardless of what you choose or the role you use WebWatcher in, its installation is painless. In fact, when installing modern software, you really should expect three things:
  1. fast
  2. easy
  3. painless
Unfortunately, in the case of many powerful programs, you expect things to be difficult. Not so with WebWatcher.

Luckily, its manufacturers, Awareness Technologies, appear to've gone to great lengths to make installation simple and fool-proof.

Here's what you can expect when installing WebWatcher:

This first WebWatcher image is pretty self explanatory.
  1. Choose WebWatcher from the dropdown box
  2. Click "Continue"
Just close out the box with the [X] if for whatever reason you're not ready to install.

You can always come back to it later.

WebWatcher Installation Step 2
This is a good time to make sure that you're actually installing WebWatcher on the computer you want to monitor.

As discussed in our WebWatcher reviews, you can monitor the computer of your child, spouse, employee or anyone else from any Internet connected computer.

The only caveat is that you must be on the computer used by the

The two snapshots show what users of different versions of Windows see.

And, while technically, the choice is yours, but you're strongly encouraged to choose "Run" regardless of what version of Windows you're running. Here's why:
  1. Choosing 'Run' begins the installation process right away so you won't have to hunt from where Windows saved your installation file.
  2. Hunting for the installation file is just about the last thin

This is WebWatcher's license agreement. Here's your opportunity to read it carefully.

Click 'Install' if you're in agreement or 'Cancel' if you you're not.

'Cancel' will halt the installation.

WebWatcher Installation Step 5
To properly install WebWatcher it's advised that you close all applications, including antivirus software that may cause hiccups in the installation.

Click 'Ok' and continue.

When you're done, be sure to re-enable your antivirus software.

Also, in certain instances you may need to add a special rule for some antivirus software for WebWatcher, but this is rare.

WebWatcher makes this simple.

The same Username and Password that you use when you purchase WebWatcher, you also use when registering the software.

We advise you to use use a password that's unique to WebWatcher and has a mix of letters (capitalized and lower case) and numbers.

Keep this username and password in a safe place.

WebWatcher Installation Step 8
You've successfully downloaded WebWatcher onto the computer you're planning to monitor.

We strongly recommend that you follow the suggestions in the window to ensure the program runs properly.

Of course, if you run into any complications, WebWatcher has excellent customer support to help.

[Editor's Note: In one of our many test installations, we ran into a minor hiccup during one install and called their support staff for help to see how it would be handled.

We're happy to report our hiccup was recognized and solved immediately by their support tech in under five minutes.]

Gives you warnings about the software possibly being detected by antivirus software and some additional considerations.

NOTE: Read this screen very closely to see how this might have an effect on you.

Detection by antivirus software is rare, but you may need to take some extra steps to ensure proper running of both WebWatcher and the antivirus software.

WebWatcher Remote Computer Monitoring Software Summary

Overall installing WebWatcher is a fast, easy process.

As with all monitoring software, it gets installed on the computer you want to monitor.

The only difference is that with WebWatcher once you've installed it, you can then, if you choose, use a different computer to view the data WebWatcher actually recorded.

Once installed, it starts recording immediately. If you'd like to configure blocking, time limits, or other settings, that too, can be done from any other computer and can be done anytime you'd like.

Settings can be easily changed, altered, and updated without ever having to revisit the computer you're monitoring.

Put another way, once you install it, you'll never have to go back to the computer you're monitoring again.

Perhaps best of all though, we found even with its power and flexibility as computer and Internet monitoring software, WebWatcher was both easy to install and easy to use.
