Overall, we found SpyAgent did a terrific job both as Internet monitoring software and also as computer monitoring software, too.
In specific roles like parental control software we found it was most useful for monitoring tool and less so for website blocking.
SpyAgent's website blocking works, but to get comprehensive blocking without setting up your own blocklist requires adding SentryNet for either $2.95/mo or $29.95/yr (18% discount).
For usability, the interface is a bit complex, especially when it comes to choosing the monitoring options.
That said, the interface is fast and usable though, so all-in-all it's solid software.
In addition to parental controls and other roles at home, SpyAgent can also function as employee monitoring software, too.
With an upgrade to the Spytech SpyAnywhere program, it would be possible to monitor even more employees, but it's just not as flexible in this role as WebWatcher, although its lower price could make it the right choice for many companies.
Overall, we feel it's best used in settings as parental control software, to help catch a cheating spouse, in a small office or in other roles where PC / Internet monitoring is the main concern and not doing things like setting time limits or website blocking.
How to Install:
SpyAgent Computer Monitoring Software
Once you've downloaded SpyAgent, you'll want to double click on the SpyAgent icon to begin installation.
SpyAgent Installation is rather straightforward, with only one deviation from being a completely vanilla software install. (This is good.)
Regardless of what role SpyAgent is used in, its installation is quite painless. With modern software, you deserve three things:

We opted to install the uninstaller in our testing. It placed the uninstaller in a very conspicuous location where it would be seen by all users.
This was very sloppy in our view. We would've opted only to install it in the person's profile who's installing SpyAgent. WARNING: If you're not careful with this option and remove it from 'All Users' view, it will be trivially easy for someone to see there's computer monitoring software running. |
